Jane Deerfield is having a really bad day.

First she can't find anything but orange high-tops to wear with her Batgirl Halloween costume. Then she falls down a deep, black rip in space. When she wakes up, she lying in a field with the most gorgeous guy she's ever seen staring down at her. Only he's carrying a huge sword, and the fierce look in his eyes isn't exactly comforting.

Before she knows it, Jane is swept up in a crazy world of magic spells, green elves, and evil wizards with only the dashing King Daken and his sword to protect her.
